The Landslide Juniper: 126” x 28" x 24"
I found the Landslide Juniper partially buried at the bottom of a deep gully from what appeared to be a small landslide many years earlier. Carving away the exterior of weathered wood exposed the tree’s core. Working with the grain of the wood, the natural features of the piece have been exaggerated. Heavy torch work is used to protect and increase visual contrast of the final sculpture. This piece is currently on display until April of 2022 in downtown Lafayette, Colorado. The price of this sculpture is $12,000.
